I was running late after my alarm didn’t wake me up this morning. I hurried downstairs to head out the door, and the sunrise was calling me.

Another shot of the Great Oak in our backyard. I love this tree. Too bad the houses are so close to it — it really ruins the shot. (Too bad I’m too lazy with Photoshop to edit the houses out too).
I think I might need to find another place to go running — I love Rollins Savanna Forest Preserve, but I’m getting a little tired of finding a photo there. The Rollins Savanna use to be a farm ( I believe) and this is a view of the barn still on the property.
Miles was suppose to go down for quiet time and nap, but he was up multiple times asking “can I get up?”. I said yes, but play in your room. MInutes later I found him like this.
Spring is here! My daughter Ella enjoyed being outside and playing with grass. Ah — to be a kid again!
The grass in our lawn is so lush with the rain – the contrast of the blue swing grabbed me, and thus I grabbed my camera.
With all the rain the past week, water has no better place to go. This is a field in Grayslake.
This is a photo of the main conference room in my office. I was there early one morning, and loved how the rising sun struck the room.
My daughter Ella picked a number of dandelions from our yard and wanted to put them in a vase. They’ve been sitting on our mantle for the past few days.
Kristi and I got up to catch the sunrise our last day in Miami. Though I got some good shots of the sunrise – the best shot of the day was right when I was leaving the beach. I turned around — and there it was: this shot.
